Engineering Data Center Substations
Data Centers
Data centers are being built at a record pace, and many now need more power than the local grid can readily deliver. A new campus often needs a dedicated high-voltage substation of its own, along with a utility interconnection, protection and control systems, and backup power. Each has to be designed for reliability and delivered on an aggressive schedule. For developers and owners, the challenge isn’t just building capacity. It’s getting to energization as quickly as possible.
EETS designs the substations and power infrastructure that bring data centers online. From the high-voltage interconnection through medium-voltage distribution to the campus, we deliver construction-ready designs that move projects from interconnection to energization on schedule.
EETS is currently designing a 150MVA, 230kV substation with a 50MVA battery energy storage system for an AI data center campus in Northern California.
